ABOUT THE ROLE

The Queensland Suns is seeking a Sponsorship & Partnerships Lead to help build the commercial future of our Association.

Sponsorship is far more than logos on uniforms. It's about creating meaningful partnerships that support athletes, strengthen our organisation and provide genuine value to businesses that choose to invest in the Queensland Suns.

​

Working closely with the President, the successful applicant will identify new commercial opportunities, develop sponsorship packages, build lasting relationships with partners and ensure every partnership delivers value for both the sponsor and the Association.

​

This role will play a critical part in delivering the Queensland Suns Strategic Plan by building sustainable revenue streams that reduce the financial burden on players while strengthening one of Australia's fastest-growing men's and mixed netball programs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement the Queensland Suns sponsorship strategy.

• Create and maintain sponsorship prospectuses and partnership packages.

• Identify, approach and secure new commercial partners.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with sponsors and stakeholders.

• Coordinate sponsor activation across events, digital platforms and Association initiatives.

• Monitor sponsorship deliverables and ensure partners receive agreed benefits.

• Develop reporting that demonstrates return on investment for sponsors.

• Work closely with the Branding, Marketing & Communications Lead to maximise sponsor exposure.

• Contribute to initiatives that improve the long-term financial sustainability of the Association.

ABOUT YOU

We're looking for someone who enjoys building relationships and creating mutually beneficial partnerships.

Whether your background is in sales, business development, account management, sponsorship, marketing or commercial partnerships, you'll have the opportunity to help shape the future of our Association.

Ideally you will possess:

• Experience in sales, sponsorship, partnerships, business development or relationship management.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• Confidence building relationships with businesses and community organisations.

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

• The ability to identify commercial opportunities and turn them into long-term partnerships.

• A passion for supporting community sport.

This is a volunteer position offering the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the future of men's and mixed netball in Queensland.

​

The successful applicant will work closely with the Management Committee to establish sustainable sponsorship and partnership opportunities that strengthen the Queensland Suns while reducing financial barriers for athletes.
