TJ Toeleiu Named in New Zealand team for Trans Tasman Series

Grace-Adele Willis, 20 Oct 2026

The Queensland Suns will have an extra reason to keep a close eye on this week’s 2026 Men’s Trans Tasman International Test Series, with Suns athlete TJ Toeleiu named in the New Zealand team to face Australia’s Kelpies.

The selection puts TJ in line for the opportunity to make his Net Blacks debut as New Zealand and Australia renew their Trans Tasman rivalry across three Tests in Napier.

The series begins on 21 October, followed by Tests on 23 and 25 October 2026, with all three matches scheduled for 7:00 pm NZT (4pm AEST) at Pettigrew Green Arena.

For the Queensland Suns, TJ’s involvement makes an already exciting international series particularly special.

The Suns have been working to strengthen the visibility and opportunities available within men’s and mixed netball, making the opportunity for one of our own athletes to be part of an international squad something worth celebrating.

New Zealand’s Net Blacks will face an Australian Kelpies side across the Tasman, but for the Suns community, there might just be a little blue and black mixed in with the green and gold this week.

Most importantly, it is a tremendous opportunity for TJ on the international stage.

Congratulations TJ on your selection. Everyone at the Queensland Suns wishes you the very best for the series, and we’ll be watching proudly from Queensland.
